Our story

Joel:
I remember looking across the room and noticing this beautiful young blonde girl standing there with her friends and saying to myself “ I have to leave this place with her number “.

Aiga:
I noticed this cute boy starring at me and wondering if he will come over to talk to me.

Joel:
After gaining the courage I finally walked over and started talking to Aiga, only to be told by her friend that the conversation can only begin if I buy them both cocktails.

Aiga:
Three weeks later we had our first trip to Paris and spent an amazing and unforgettable time and at that point we knew this was “meant to be “.

Joel:
And during that time we had the arrival of our beautiful daughter and son to piece together another chapter of our story.

Aiga:
As most girls dream of their fairy tale wedding I knew as time went by that this man ( Joel) would be the one waiting for me down the aisle.

Then came the planning for the “ Big Day” back in early 2019. As we started going through wedding magazines, websites and even took trips to Riga to search for a venue. There it was “ Svētku pils” as we both looked at each other and said “ yes this is the venue” where we are going to celebrate our love.

 

Joel:
Aiga spent the rest of 2019 planning every detail for the wedding.
As time went by and the date and invitations had been sent, came the global pandemic which started putting our dream day and everything that we had planned for into doubt.

As the day was getting closer we started watching every news announcement about Covid-19 but the one thing we both had was “ faith” and believed that our day would come.

Aiga:
Finally our big day had arrived and I was marrying my soul mate, best friend and the love of my life.

I married Joel because of his charisma, always knows how to put a smile on my face, he’s caring,loving and an amazing Dad to our two children. Everytime he holds me I feel safe and know that everything will be fine with him by my side.

Joel:
I married Aiga because of her big heart, loving personality, trust and a truly amazing mother who makes my life complete.

This is a new beginning in the love story for Aiga and Joel
